Am i the only one who finds it annoying when writers here include their age?

I doesn't annoy me but I kind of feel bad for them. The whole point of posting their story on here is to try to get an unbiased opinion but by putting their age and a disclaimer you have already started to influence the reader before they have even begun reading. It is hard to be confident at such a young age but I wish people would take a risk and not worry about something so insignificant.
