Do you think they will ever reveal who Gossip Girl or A is?

I wonder if they will just end the shows not knowing who Gossip Girl or A is? It's not in the books either but I wonder if there is some kind of last book that they are not selling until they show is over. If they did that I would feel jiped. Do the writers even know who A or Gossip Girl is?
